I use a custom passive summing mixer to enhance stereo imagining and nonlinearity (I'm one of that guy). I usually boost the sum with an original Neumann v475-2C line amp with Haufe Transformers to get some extra depth and pleasantly colored imprint to the audio. Because of its design it can be amplified by various amps, offering different character—from a slow Neve-ish sound to a fast API-style circuit.

The mix bus is followed by a parallel passive tube equalizer (Gyraf Audio Gyratec XIV) for tonal shaping, a vari-mu stereo compressor by Retro Instruments for pristine tube limiting and a final VCA compressor to bring back movement to the transients (Alan Smart C1). The processed signal is then captured using the Universal Audio 2192 Master Audio Converter, renowned for its tape-like sound and mid forward punch.

This audio chain made of transformers, tubes and op-amps introduce at each stage, subtle serial soft clipping and saturation which are one of the keys to achieve a loud, rich and three-dimensional mix.

I've chosen this hybrid approach to give to artists a unique analog footprint for their music, all while maintaining the flexibility for mix revisions and changes.

My preferred DAW is Logic Pro X where I use my favorite DSPs like Kush Audio, Fabfilter, Waves, Plugin Alliance, Soundtoys, Oeksound, Valhalla DSP....​​
